Terms and conditions of use and sale

About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the purchase of fine art prints from Édouard Bonte ("we", "us", "our"), a photographer and print seller based in Lisbon, Portugal.
By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law and applicable European Union consumer protection regulations, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.
The Works
All photographs offered for sale are original works by Édouard Bonte, produced as limited edition fine art prints. Each edition is strictly limited and individually numbered.
Limited Editions
Each work is produced in a defined edition size (typically 3 editions + 1 Artist Proof + 1 private archive copy). Once an edition is sold out, no further prints of that work will be produced at that size.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity stating the title, edition number, dimensions, paper type, and year of production.
Print Quality
Prints are produced on museum-quality archival papers, primarily Hahnemühle fine art papers, using professional fine art inkjet or baryta printing processes designed for longevity.
Framing
Where framing is included or specified, it is produced using museum-quality materials. Framing options and specifications are described on each product page.

Order Confirmation
Your order is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline any order, for example if a print has already sold or if we are unable to verify payment.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards via Stripe. All transactions are processed securely and we do not store your payment details.
Currency
All prices are displayed and charged in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated. If you are purchasing from outside the Eurozone, your bank may apply a currency conversion fee.
Production Time
Fine art prints are produced to order. Please allow 5–10 business days for production before shipping. You will be notified when your order has been dispatched.
Pricing
Prices are listed on each product page and are inclusive of Portuguese VAT (IVA) where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated separately at checkout based on your delivery location.
We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price confirmed at the time of purchase.
For international orders, import duties, customs fees, or local taxes may apply upon delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price.
Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide from Lisbon, Portugal. All prints are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
Packaging
Unframed prints are rolled and shipped in rigid tubes or flat-packed in reinforced protective packaging. Framed works are shipped in custom-built wooden crates.
Carriers
We use reputable international carriers. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are 3–7 business days within Europe and 7–14 business days internationally, following production. These are estimates and not guarantees.
Damage in Transit
If your print arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the damage immediately and contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or refund.
Returns & Refunds
Because each print is produced to order, we are unable to accept returns for reasons of preference or change of mind. We encourage you to review all product details carefully before purchasing.
However, in accordance with EU consumer rights law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, provided the print has not yet been produced. Once production has begun, cancellation is not possible.
Exceptions — we will always offer a full refund or replacement if:
- Your print arrives damaged due to transit
- The print you receive does not match the work you ordered
- There is a manufacturing defect in the print or framing

Intellectual Property
All photographs, images, text and other content on this website are the exclusive intellectual property of Édouard Bonte and are protected by Portuguese and international copyright law.
The purchase of a fine art print grants you ownership of the physical object only. It does not transfer any copyright, reproduction rights, or commercial rights in the underlying photographic work.
Website Use
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use it in any way that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or that infringes the rights of others.
We make every effort to ensure this website is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked site.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Édouard Bonte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or the purchase of our products.
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese or EU law.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the purchase of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection law. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
